Testing

IPB Testing offers a wide range of destructive & non-destructive testing, all completed by experienced and highly trained personnel.

Our destructive test facility is certified by UKAS to ISO 17025: 2017 and overseen by our experienced management team of Derren McAlpine, Steven Cummings and Simon Pescod with the latter two members of the management team being trained by Ian Dawson who had over 28 years of experience in mechanical testing and was with the laboratory from its inception in 2007.

We offer testing services to a wide range of customers including those in the oil and gas, power generation, general fabrication and heat treatment sectors as well as steel stockists and the like.

Our non-destructive testing department effectively compliments the destructive testing by providing the option of in-house NDE services as and when required. Our ASNT / PCN Level II qualified technicians are well versed in many aspects of NDE across a wide range of materials with our NDE Manager, Wayne Cartner being further qualified to Level III in MP, LP & UT disciplines allowing us to provide bespoke procedural documentation to project specific requirements.
